Christopher Meloni buys home in Connecticut

2012.10.05

Celebrity news site Curbed reports former Law and Order star Christopher Meloni may be calling for movers as he will be relocating to Canaan, Connecticut. He has infamously been making major offers to potential buyers regarding a couple homes in New York City, but having multiple properties listed for sale hasn't kept him from spending $4.381 million on a large estate called Ridgecrest.

Public records show the home was last sold in April 2004 for $3.595 million, and initially listed for sale in 2011 for $5.495 million before being removed and relisted multiple times throughout 2011 and 2012.

According to the site, the estate was built in 2006 and offers distant views of the city. With more than 8,000 square feet of living space including five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The castle-like home sits on four acres of land with luxury amenities including a billiards room, a swimming pool, a spa and a detached barn. The city is a great place for celebrities and families as Curbed notes it has a very low crime rate.
